This is the best yet in an already stunning series.

Anybody from 9 upwards want to dive into this book and never leave. This is the series that converted three reluctant boys in my family to become avid readers from the ages of 10, 11 and 13 - where for some reason the Alex Rider series had failed to hit the mark.

The Jimmy Coates books seem to me to be more than just 'young spy' books, perhaps because of the added layers to the character with his inner thoughts and dilemmas and his 'real' human reactions to the gripping action that he's at the centre at. The irony is that Jimmy himself is supposed to be less than entirely human ( I won't ruin any more by revealing too much). Just check this series out if you haven't already, and I couldn't recommend it more highly to anybody trying to convince their kids (boys OR girls) that reading can be the best form of entertainment.
Absolutely brilliant! Perfect for getting kids completely gripped by books if they weren't into them before. Anyone from 9 upwards will devour this series - and Jimmy Coates Power is the best one so far. You don't need to read the others in the series first. Older teens will also love the gripping action and fantastic character dilemmas. This is much more of a young Jason Bourne story than just another young James Bond.

For that reason Jimmy Coates is the best spy thriller book series out there for kids - even better than the Anthony Horowitz/Alex Rider books and Cherub.

The 'Jimmy Coates' series continues to amaze with its inventive thrills and excitement. Unlike many other series, it seems to get better with each book.

This is a very thrilling series and perfect for kids who don't usually read. They will be completely gripped the way that many have been by Harry Potter, except this series is possibly even better!
Power is the best in the series todate. Joe Craig has developed into a great author. England certanly can produce great authors. The book is fast and keeps you reading. Iw ont spoil the plot but if you are into teen hero books this one you will love.
Power is exactly the right title for the sixth Jimmy Coates adventure, because this book has it in spades!

From the spine-tingling opening where we find Jimmy trying to spread the truth about the government through what is almost certainly the most exciting action sequence a book has ever seen (I won't give anything away, suffice to say it involves helicopters and a very long bandage!) and beyond, this book will have you gripped, page after page. Bomb plots, stolen TV broadcasts and double-crosses galore - this novel has them all!

With each passing adventure from the pen of Joe Craig, I find myself asking just how he can top it in his next book, yet he always does. Jimmy Coates: Power, however, will take some beating.
This is the sixth book from Joe Craig in the Jimmy Coates series, and my kids (girl aged 12, boy aged 10) think it's the best one yet. We saw Joe do an event at the Cheltenham book festival at the weekend and he was great. He read an extract from Jimmy Coates: Power, and the kids were on the edge of their seats.

The story is a real page-turner - perfect for kids who don't normally get through to the end of a book. Craig manages to make each challenge Jimmy faces bigger, better and more exciting than the last. Jimmy is a very believable hero, and the the plot is filled with suspense.

We're looking forward to the next book already.
